Hey Schnooky Bookies. It was so fun to talk to you yesterday from the volcano! Wasn't that cool?! I'll show you those pictures after these.
This is a weird spiky fruit we got in our gift basket. It was really yummy. It is called a rambutan.
There is lava rock everywhere! People "graffitti" by writing their names with little pieces of coral from the ocean placed on the lava rock! It's not naughty and illegal like in California where kids are damaging people's property.
There is a very bad storm happening here. We were heading straight for it when we were going to the volcano. There was a lot of flooding on the other side of the island. As we turned a corner on the highway, we saw a truck on its side and their was someone inside. We quickly pulled over and Daddy ran over to it while I called 911. The lady was okay and the ambulance got there and helped her out. We were so glad she was okay.
We ate at this bakery. It was raining so hard, we decided to take a break from the road.
Here we are!! Ready for the lava!Do you see the ridge drop off behind me? That is the crater of the volcano! The lava doesn't flow from there anymore, it flows out of holes on the sides now. But do you see the steam? That is from the lava below! It was raining very hard on Mommy. Here is Daddy at the Halema'uma'u Crater. Look at all the steam! It was actually hot! Daddy got you a rock from a steam vent.
Some more steam!!

More fun later! I hope you had a great time with your cousins at Auntie Nikki's! We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
